Writing Across the Media III (WAM3) is an advanced newswriting course from the Communication and Media Arts Department of the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois.

WAM 3 focuses on delivering news content on a periodic basis via Beat Reporting. WAM 3 students will also deliver longer form news and feature stories, too.

Students will each be the class editor-in-chief 1-2 times during the semester.

There will be 4 major types of assignments.

• 15 weekly beat reports.

•  4-6 hard news stories.

•  5-8 feature stories.

•  one editorial.

Students will know when specific assignments are due based on the schedule we develop on the first day of class.
