455 Registered Sex Offenders in Illinois Missing

Hundreds of sex offenders in Illinois are not living where they registered their residence. Cops report the whereabouts of 455 of the 3,000 convicted sex offenders that are registered with Illinois State Police are currently unknown. Sex offenders are required to tell neighbors they are a registered sex offender, are not allowed to live near a school, public park, or allowed to be on social media. On the Joliet Patch there is a list of all 455 sex offenders who have failed to register their current addresses. The list features offenders last registered in Joliet, Chicago, Aurora, and Homewood. The Joliet Patch as well the Illinois State Police are asking locals to look through the list and contact local police if they recognize any of the offenders as current neighbors. Along with their names the list features the town the offender last registered residence in as well as the crimes they were charged with.
