Forest Preserve of Will County Launches Mystery 360 Contest

The Forest Preserve District of Will County is launching a new Mystery 360 contest to test people’s ability to recognize specific locations within the District. The Herald News announced yesterday that the District will post a 360-degree photo accompanied by a question on its Facebook page every Wednesday at 9 pm during the month of September.
With more than 22,000 acres of land, there is plenty to see across the many preserves and trails that exist within the Forest Preserve District of Will County. Participants can join the contest for a true virtual reality experience on their phone, as the photos will move with them. In some cases, people will be asked to identify a specific trail or preserve. In others, perhaps the name of a waterway. Participants, who must be at least 18 years-old, may post their guess in the comments section under the photo. Mystery 360 responses must clearly answer the question posted. The first person to identify the photo correctly will win a prize. Winners will be able to choose between a USB flash drive, a glass photo frame or a power bank for charging mobile devices.

According to the Forest Preserve’s webpage RecconectWithNature.org, the series of 360-degree photos are a collection that will continue to grow and that is expected to inspire people to go outside and participate in any of the recreational activities the preserves offer. These include biking, camping, boating or fishing, among many others.
