Joliet Area Historical Museum to Host Galaxy Comic Book and Fantasy Art Expo

On Saturday, September 17, the Joliet Area Historical Museum will be hosting the Galaxy Comic Book and Fantasy Art Expo. This event is friendly for people of all ages and will entertain die-hard to casual fans alike.

The expo will have creators that you can meet from the comic book industry, featuring creators from DC, Marvel, Topps and other publications, according to the Patch. Not only will this event host workers from the comic book industry, but from the gaming industry as well. Fans can meet artists from the game “Lands and Legends”, an award nominated game from Michael Publishing.

For the attendees who want to participate in more active events, there will be a “Magic the Gathering” tournament. The expo will also have panels, raffles, art demonstrations and more games to participate in.

The Galaxy Comic Book and Fantasy Art Expo will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door at the Joliet Area Historical Museum in downtown Joliet, 204 N. Ottawa St. Tickets cost $6.00 per adult and $4.00 for children 13 or younger. There are early bird entrance tickets available at $10.00 per adult and $8.00 for children 13 or younger. Parking is free.
