University of St. Francis Women's Volleyball Team Bring Home Two More Wins

On Friday, September 24, University of St. Francis volleyball team competed in the Clarke University Invitational. The Clarke Invitational took place in Dubuque, IA. The USF Saints won both of their matches as they defeated Robert Morris University (IL) in a three game match 25-15, 25-8, 25-20. The Saints also defeated the Invitational hosts, the Crusaders, 25-23, 25-22, 25-18.

Throughout the Robert Morris match, setter Danielle Conrad collected 18 assists, nine digs and two aces. Outside hitter Brenna Perinar led offensively with 10 kills out of 18 attempts. Defensive specialist Leah Alles finished the game with four aces and 11 digs.

During the match against the Crusaders, middle blocker Alyssa Bridleman and defensive specialist/outside hitter Brook Hartnell each had 10 kills and 17 digs apiece. Setter/outside specialist Kelly Gould ended the match with 13 digs.

The two victories from this past weekend bring the USF ladies volleyball team’s season to 10-7. The Saints next game is Tuesday, September 27. USF will be traveling to University Park to face a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival, Governors State University.
