As the US presidential campaign begins to ramp up into what looks like a tit-for-tat smear campaigns by both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, with Clinton firing the first shot with the release of an audio recording of Donald Trump claiming to sexually assault woman including “grabbing them by the p***y”. The Republican nominee Donald Trump was backed up by his Vice Presidential pick Mike Pence when he denied having any involvement in the videos as well as to have always treated woman with respect. Pence told CNN that he looks forward to any information which might debunk his thinking that Trump has never been involved in a sexual assault nor has he condoned sexual assault. Pence told CBS News "What he has made clear is that was talk, regrettable talk on his part, but that there were no actions and that he categorically denied these latest unsubstantiated allegations.". He made similar claims to Fox and Friends saying “He's categorically denied these, and there will be more evidence coming out that supports, you know, his position on this,”. It is yet to be seen what exactly Trump’s evidence is but many are expecting it to be brought to light soon as more and more woman step forward claiming to have been sexually assaulted by the Donald. The Clinton campaign has sought to play dirty as Trump routinely brings up the missing emails from her time as Secretary of State as well as her perceived role in the fall of the US embassy in Benghazi, Libya. Both have become Republican rallying cries over the course of the campaign and the deep divide between the two candidates can be found in the way their supporters view supporters of the other side. As Election Day draws nearer (November 8th) these sexual assault allegations will certainly not be the last controversy that occurs over the next month as both scumbags seek to feed their power hungry desire and become President of the United States. May God have mercy on us all.
