Chicago Cubs Force Game 7

At the start of today, the Cleveland Indians only had one more game in order to win the World Series. The Chicago Cubs made sure that wasn’t going to happen by defeating the Indians 9-2 at Progressive Field. The best-of-seven series is now tied 3-3. The winner of the World Series will be announced tomorrow as the Chicago Cubs forced their way into game seven.

The Cubs were off to an incredible start as the score was 7-0 by the end of the third inning. Kris Bryant had a solo home-run while Addison Russell had six runs batted in (RBI). Jake Arrieta struck out nine of the Indian’s batters, while also having three hits himself that allowed two runs.

The Indians seemed to gain some traction on the playing field as they scored two runs by the end of the fifth inning. However, the Chicago Cubs didn’t let it go any further as they quickly were able to get back on the offense and score two more runs.

The seventh and final game of the 2016 World Series will be held Wednesday, November 2 at Progressive Field. The first pitch will be thrown at 7:00 p.m. CST.
