According to the Joliet Patch, the Will County Health Department visited Chicken N’ Spice, located on 251 N. Chicago St., for a routine inspection in mid-2016. The restaurant received a sanitation score of 74/100 though when immediate fixes were made, the final score was 88/100.
Some of errors that were found during inspection, according to the Joliet Patch:
Raw ground beef in walk-in cooler stored over ready to eat food.
Food in walk-in freezer stored on floor under shelves.
Exterior of batter bin soiled.
Lotion and hand sanitizer stored above food area.
