USF Women's Bowler, Nicole Troha, Named MVP

Over the weekend, the University of St. Francis bowling team competed in the 16th-annual Leatherneck Classic at Miller Time Big River Bowl in Davenport, IA. USF’s women’s bowling team placed ninth out of 26 teams.

Nicole Troha was named MVP at this past weekend’s classic. According to the Fighting Saints press release, Troha rolled an average of 210.2 over six games, including a high game of 2226, to top a field of 65 bowlers who participated in all six games.

There were six individual games on Saturday and four Baker games on Sunday. Between the 10 games, USF totaled 8,219 pins. Unfortunately, the bowling team was short 62 pins and could not advance to the eight-team bracket competition.

USF’s next tournament is the Ebonite Warhawk Open in Madison, Wisconsin on December 3rd. Troha and the rest of the team will also be traveling to Las Vegas on December 18th to compete in the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational the 19-20th and the Collegiate Shootout the 21-22nd.
