Two Joliet Thefts Joliet Police Need Your Help


Last Monday night two black men entered the Red Roof Inn in Joliet Illinois at the 1700 block of McDonough armed with guns. The two men dressed in all black approached the desk clerk and demanded money according to the Joliet Deputy Police Chief Al Roechner.

The clerk gave the men cash from register and was struck in the back of the head with the gun. After assaulting him the men locked the clerk in the back room and fled the scene. The suspects are in their late 20s or early 30s, one is tall and slim, and the other is medium and heavy. The clerk was taken to a local hospital for injuries.

The Joliet Police Department are looking for any additional information in this case and ask that citizens call the Joliet Police Department or Crime Stoppers.

Wednesday evening a Shih Tzu was stolen from Furry Babies in the Louis Joliet Mall. A family in then playroom distracted employees while a Hispanic couple stole a puppy from a crib. The puppy was placed under his coat and the suspect walked out of the door.

There are no leads, but Joliet Police ask that citizens contact them with any additional information.
