New Arcade in Joliet for all ages

Joliet’s Town and Country Lanes is home to 44 bowling lanes, Jody’s Pizza and Grinders, Bases Loaded Sports Bar and now, Redemption Arcade games. This game room features fan favorites of Skee-ball, air hockey and basketball. This arcade is defiantly for all ages, with games like Space Invaders and Jurassic Park for the older people. Talking with owner George Kontos, he said his vision was for all ages to play in the arcade. We are geared more towards the younger kids for when they come in with their parents when they bowl in their leagues, but we have games that adults will want to play. Kontos also said that this game room is a little different than anything he’s seen in the area. “Our arcade will feature a play card that you put money, cash or card, and with that card, you swipe at each game to play. Whatever tickets you win in that game, they will automatically be added to your play card.” When asked about how the players’ tickets are redeemed, Kontos said that “You will swipe your card at our redemption station and from there, it will tell you how many tickets you have and then from there you can pick your prize based off the tickets you have built up.” For a look at the arcade, Visit the Joliet Town and Country Lanes Facebook page as there is a video of the arcade room with the games and the redemption station.
