MOD Pizza Opens in Lincoln-Way Area
The fast-casual pizza restaurant MOD Pizza has officially opened its doors to the public this past week on January 18. The new MOD Pizza is located at 651 E. Haven Ave. off Rt. 30 in New Lenox.
According to MOD Pizza representatives, 100 percent of their grand opening day proceeds were donated to the New Lenox Education Foundation. Also, the first 52 customers to enter the restaurant received free pizza.
This is the first location in the area which the general manager, Sean Cunneen, hopes will attract customers from New Lenox, Mokena, Joliet, Shorewood and Frankfort. "We like that it's a new, very up-and-coming suburb with lots of families," he told the New Lenox Patch on Thursday. "We love Rt. 30 and how busy it is."
This MOD Pizza location shares a newly constructed strip mall with a recently opened Chipotle Mexican Grill. Neighboring restaurants include Potbelly, Jersey Mike’s Subs, White Castle and Culvers. There is also a Walmart, Aldi, Goodwill and T.J. Maxx located in the same complex.
According to their website, Seattle-based MOD Pizza offers individual artisan-style pizzas and salads that customers can customize to their liking. With over 30+ toppings to choose from and a set price on all pizzas, their motto is, “Don’t be shy, get exactly what you love.”
When asked what their favorite part about the restaurant opening was, a MOD Pizza employee mentioned how excited everyone in the community has been. “It’s great seeing everyone so excited about MOD Pizza opening a location in New Lenox. I thought that once the grand opening came and went things would slow down a bit, but almost every day there have been times where the line is out the door.”
Currently, the New Lenox MOD Pizza offers both dine-in and carryout. The phone number is 779-803-8110. The restaurants hours of operation are from 10:30am-9pm Sunday-Thursday and from 10:30am-10pm on Friday and Saturday.
